University Centre

The Quayside School of Higher Education, though its partnership with the Open University, has full Department of Education approval to use the status University Centre Quayside.

The word ‘university’ is specified as a sensitive word under company law and its use is protected. It can only be awarded to institutions who offer full degree courses and who been validated through a process of external peer review by a recognised degree awarding body. We have been validated by a process of peer review by the Open University as being of an appropriate standard and quality.

The award of University Centre status recognises the quality, innovative approach, infrastructure and support we provide to students. Working in partnership with, and accredited by the UK’s largest university is something we are immensely proud of.

We are a Listed Body

The Listed Bodies Order is a Statutory Instrument which is normally updated by the department once every 2 to 3 years.

Inclusion on the Listed Bodies Order demonstrates that the Quayside School has developed a degree that complete parity of esteem with the awards offered throughout UK higher education. This gives total reassurance to employers, employees and students alike.
