CMDA

Designed by employers for employers, our Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship (CMDA) provides world-class business training.

University Centre Quayside is excited to dovetail experienced apprenticeship delivery and provision of management qualifications to be one of the first private university providers to offer the Level 6 Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship (CMDA)

Developed by employers, the innovative new degree apprenticeships provide a seamless bridge between further and higher education. Their introduction is one of the most important, progressive and exciting developments across work-based learning and education, in the last 25 years.

At the heart of our CMDA is our BA (Hons) Professional Management degree, which we have created specifically for the degree apprenticeship. We have done this because we believe a traditional degree does not meet the requirements of a real work-based programme. With our degree, every assignment and every module is directly related to the employees job role with irrelevant study. Our degree is entirely aligned to the requirements of the CMDA standard and has complete parity of esteem with degree awards offered throughout UK higher education.

The CMDA is a standard for what a Chartered Manager in the modern age should be and the aspect of what makes it unique is that it also develops and assesses the self-awareness and behaviours that are required to be successful in a management role.

Eligibility for the role can include:

– New or existing employee
– Existing or aspiring manager
– Working a minimum of 30 hours per week
– Highest prior qualification does not exceed Level 6

If qualified, the validation as evidence of being an effective leader will include a BA (Hons) Professional Management degree, Chartered Manager status awarded by the Chartered Management Institute and a CMDA completion certificate.
