The new standard in
apprenticeships

“It is time to create the conditions whereby HE and FE can both fulfil their respective missions for the people of this country, and better combine to achieve shared national goals.” - The Rt Hon Dr Vince Cable

The Quayside School of Higher Education is proud to be able to offer new apprenticeship standards.

The creation of new apprenticeship standards has been led by employers in partnership with specialist national development teams, of which the Quayside School of Higher Education took an active role.

The standards show what an apprentice will be doing and the skills required of them, by job role. Standards are developed by employer groups known as ‘trailblazers’.

From 1st August 2016, apprenticeships will be the only way to combine government funding and training to improve your workforce. Apprenticeships are a work-based programme and as such can be delivered to any eligible employee, including those who are already an established member of staff. In fact, the Quayside School of Higher Education specialises in delivering programmes to existing staff members in order to help them make the next step in their career.

Enrolling now: Exciting times at the Quayside School as we are enrolling now for the Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship programme, one of the most important, progressive and exciting developments across workplace learning and education.
