UCQ is a Higher Education Institute (HEI) and provider of further education head quartered in the North East of England, delivering nationally to a range of stakeholders. Established in 1994, UCQ’s mission is to be a leading provider of work-based further and higher education and training in England.
Whether delivering the Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship for national employers, Essential Work Skills programmes to those seeking employment, or distance and work-based learning to those in employment or wishing to gain additional knowledge and skills, UCQ ensures the student is at the heart of all we do.
Working closely with the Open University (OU), Education Skills Funding Agency (ESFA), Tees Valley Combined Authority (TVCA), Awarding Organisations, employers, Job Centre Plus (JCP), charities, referral organisations and community groups, UCQ develop, contextualise and deliver programmes to meet the needs of current and future employees.
We are entirely focused on supporting stakeholders to drive improvements in performance through our programmes. Our degree apprenticeships combine academic rigour with real world business know-how, and our approach to helping improve business results is centred around developing the leadership and management capabilities of both current and future managers. Our Essential Work Skills programmes support individuals seeking employment and develop both vocational and personal skills.
